Kindergarten teacher in Wenzhou city, Zhejiang province. The kindergarten is an innovative full day, Reggio Emilia inspired, international school. Seeking an experienced teacher with a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field. Preference given to those who graduate from a NAEYC-accredited institution. The school: Reggio Emilia inspired Kindergarten
The kindergarten is attached to a local university and provides service to the university as well as the greater population. The university has a community of approximately 100 foreign teachers.

The position: Kindergarten teacher
-Students are 3-5 years' old, 25 students per class.
-Exemplify innovative, international, developmentally appropriate practices that will personify the Kindergarten.
-Direct activities of the Kindergarten classroom and ensures a clean, safe and educational experience for all children who attend.
-Set goals and objectives for the classroom and evaluate student performance; implement alternative procedures to improve performance and meet program objectives.
-Inspire and demonstrate the capacity to integrate innovative tools and technologies to support robust early learning.
-Prepare reports and studies containing findings and recommendations for the review, information and assistance of the Kindergarten Director.
-Follow approved work operations and performance standards; engage in performance evaluations and demonstrate support for staff based on school's standards. Follow personnel actions in accordance with school policies and municipal, provincial and national regulations.
-Participate in staff training, including those provided by external trainers to ensure that staff members receive appropriate training as required by school, municipal, provincial and national regulations.
-Implement educational programs that adhere to developmentally appropriate practices, plans lessons for children and schedule activities that coordinate with lesson plans.
-Demonstrate capacity to deal with unusual problems or policy matters.
-Establish and maintain effective communication and cooperative working relationships with WKU administrators, the Kindergarten Director, faculty, staff, parents, government and private agencies and/or the public in order to accomplish the objectives of the Kindergarten program.
-Follow established procedures to ensure appropriate confidentially of Kindergarten records and activities. Maintain integrity and appropriate  confidentiality in school program operations.
-Represent the Kindergarten at school functions, such as committees, meetings, conferences and Open Houses activities.
-Develop long- and short-range plans and goals for the Kindergarten.
-Develop meaningful relationships with the children and their families.
-In consultation with the Kindergarten Director, maintain essential records and files.

-Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field. Preference given to those who graduate from a NAEYC-accredited institution.
-Two years of professional experience with classroom instruction in an early childhood setting required.
-Knowledge about and experience with a Reggio inspired early childhood program preferred.
-Work is generally performed in both classroom and an outdoor environment, with frequent interruptions and irregularities in the work schedule. Frequent walking, standing, lifting, stooping or carrying of equipment and materials may be required.
-Demonstrated leadership abilities to supervise and cooperate with teaching staff through planning and professional development activities.
-Knowledge and experience in the Reggio Emilia inspired practices, including its philosophy, curriculum, goals and objectives.
-Experience with current trends in emergent and integrated curriculum in an early childhood setting.
-Knowledge of Developmentally and Culturally Appropriate Practices.
-Experience in the accreditation process through the National Association of the Education of Young Children.
-Experience with or receptivity to DAP integration of learning technologies preferred.
-Familiarity with Chinese culture and language desired.
